Aleex Conner ~ Artistic Harmony

Aleex Conner's Impressionistic oil paintings capture sparkling vibrations of color and movement. With textured brush strokes and rich hues, her favorite subjects are effusive gardens and landscapes alive with the effect of dancing lights. Says Aleex, "When people view my work, I hope their inner feelings will awaken and that they will feel their spirits sing in harmony with nature's beauty. I strive to bring life and energy to my images like musical notes dancing across the canvas."

Aleex has had a number of successful solo art shows, and her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. Her original oils have been exhibited in Giverny, France (home of Monet's Gardens), Northern Italy, and Tuscany. She was recently selected as a finalist in the 2009 Top 40 Exhibition of the Arts and Culture Alliance in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Prices: Original oils may vary in price but are generally sold in the following price ranges: 11x14 size - $195 to $255; 14x18 size - $225 - $350; 16x20 size - $325 - $525. Signed and numbered limited edition prints are available for selected original oils for $50.

Spending part of her early childhood in France, art, culture, music, and a deep appreciation for creativity have always been integral parts of her life. Following the footsteps of European and American Impressionists - such as Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, Edgar Degas, Edouard Manet, Camille Pissarro, and Paul Cezanne - Aleex enjoys traveling in Europe to paint scenes that have inspired other artists for many years. She also enjoys painting many scenes of East Tennessee. Oil paintings done by commission are available by special request, and paintings can also be purchased through Tradebank.

In 2007, Aleex completed a painting entitled "Suffrage on Market Square" commemorating the 2006 unveiling of the Tennessee Women's Suffrage Memorial on Market Square in downtown Knoxville. This piece is available as a signed and numbered limited edition print. One of the first prints is now a permanent part of the historical exhibit of art and artifacts at the General Federation of Women's Clubs History and Resource Center in Washington, DC.

As another creative aspect of her career, Aleex owns a marketing consulting firm, Marketing Dimensions. Her expertise includes the development of comprehensive marketing strategies, press relations, advertising campaigns, market research, media buying, promotional materials, brochures, logos, and newsletters to assist clients in new customer acquisition and business growth.

One of her specialty areas is negotiating advertising packages with extra free bonus opportunities for additional media exposure. Another area of her expertise includes writing press releases to secure media exposure for clients through area newspapers, television stations, and magazine publications. Working with both small and large businesses, Marketing Dimensions helps bring a fresh perspective to creative marketing approaches that yield results!
